A man from simple beginnings, Dr.P.MAHALINGAM came to chennai to pursue MBBS.By the age of 33 he was awarded DM (Cardio) and received his F.C.C.P fellowship by 1993. Though he was a Doctor to Dr.M.G Ramachandran and other important public and social figures, he has offered his talents to the masses as well. For this and all his other significant contributions to Indian healthcare systems, he has been invited to share his insights at many conferences and delegations. For his dedication to public healthcare through medical camps, he has received over 10 awards from national forums. He also holds to his credit an Award of Appreciation by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and a citation from The State of Wisconsin, USA for establishing a 'Centre of Excellence in Preventive Medicine to cater to the public need of a developing country'.
